West End star “Buddy” Holly

Stephen’s original career, as an actor, has encompassed T.V., Film, The National Theatre and West End appearances, most notably as one of the original leads in the musical biography, “Buddy”. 

International touring

Stephen then fronted the popular act “Buddy Holly and The Cricketers”, which has amused and entertained audiences in theatres the length and breadth of the U.K and all over the world, from Thailand to the Middle East, from a ten week sell-out tour of the U.S.A, and most recently, to Sweden.

Royal Shakespeare Company

The next challenge was to join the exalted company of Diana Rigg, Derek Jacobi, Donald Sinden and Ian Richardson in the RSC’s The Hollow Crown as the Troubador. This has taken Stephen to Australia (twice), New Zealand, Canada and the main house in Stratford-upon Avon (twice).

Playing to Elton John & co

Following this he joined the ultimate 60’s function band The Overtures with performances at various exotic venues including Elton John’s Windsor residence for Elvis Costello’s wedding.

Prolific performer

An accomplished pianist and guitarist, it is as a singer/performer that Stephen has gained recognition on London’s live music scene, holding residencies at venues such as, The Big Easy, The Walkabout, Tradewinds Yacht Club, Chelsea Village and private engagements, where his large repertoire ranging from popular Jazz, Rock and Blues standards, to the hits of contemporary bands, make him constantly in demand. He recently appeared on the BBC’s “The One & Only” as one of the established professional tribute bands showcased.
